blog5

Charm slept over Friday night because I was home alone D:

Charm = my bestfriend.

What we did? Ate chocolates and watch She’s the Man. Well, I wasn’t really watching. I was more of working / having a meeting over YM and printing GPOA stuff for the organization! :( Hoenoes. But it’s always nice chatting with her. :)

Because of her, I learned and realized something important. Some things are worth all the trouble. And some, well, let’s just say you should take up skiing instead!

School just started up!

These past couple of days have been funny yet really tiring! I have 7am class on Tuesdays and Thursdays D:

03062008779Say what? XD

Don’t worry, I didn’t get it either! Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you guys about the haircut that I got.

I’ve got bangs now. Woosh.
I got it around… Hmm… last month?

And just an update: I have been a vegetarian for 10 days now! So who’s a jolly good fellow? XD

Anyway, 06062008844last Friday, we went to Tiendesitas to watch my friends, Dalandan Soda. For this June, they have a gig there every Fridays!

But before going to watch, we first detoured over to… FUN RANCH!

Can you just imagine? :/

It’s a place where they have spa for kids D: Pfft. Spoiled little kids! We should have them work! Wapak!

Heh. Kidding, kidding. I love those wittle teeny kiddies. Squished.

Although it’s a little depressing how I can’t ride those kiddie rides anymore :( I’m… too… TALL! Nyar har har.

Tzu Chi Youth Outing

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

I felt really old going out with these guys. They’re a bunch of high schoolers and I’m about going to graduate in two years! XD

 Tzu Chi Youth Outing2

The outing included playing billiards at SM Mall of Asia and err… playing DotA — not my idea! Trust me! XD

After, we went to Gerry’s Grill for dinner. I didn’t touch the meat stuff. Just the veggies :(

It’s so hard! Sisig! D:

Day 3: Semi Rant

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

This is the last of the trilogy (which really isn’t much).

TCY Camp - MOA Mu Kuan June 1 2008
Group leaders with our disciplinarian, Laddee

We went to Mall of Asia to ask for donations. Hundreds of us. Wearing blue uniforms. Shouting and asking for donations for the victims of the China earthquake and the Myanmar cyclone.

To which one guy commented, “You Chinese are already so rich and yet you ask money from us?”

This was what I was afraid of. I wanted then and there to debate with the guy. Hasn’t he thought that of course, we’ve already donated? And that going to MOA isn’t for us? The money doesn’t go to us — it goes to the victims. And it’s to give people like him an opportunity to help out.

All of us watch TV and think: poor guys, they don’t have a place to live in, so few to eat, no anything. And yet, when opportunity presents itself, you poison it with your poop?

Pardon me for complaining.

Actually, we have this new thing. Every time someone complains, someone says to him, “Bless you.”

Really cute. Heh. Making the person not complain without appearing rude.

My dinner tonight

02062008776.jpgYes, those are carrots, carrots and more carrots. those vegetables were also my lunch.

I decided to stick to being a lacto-ovo vegetarian. My eggs, I like em sunny side up!

I’m booked for going out this week! I’ll keep you posted!

So to continue the 2/3 of the Tzu Chi camp post, it’s the day for sharing. After a couple of people shared, I was crying so much I didn’t want people to know — I feared for my life. Heh. I knew how hard my group can egg you about stuff and I didn’t want them making fun of me. But then everyone was so teary eyed as well, so I didn’t think it mattered.

At some point, I went to see my sister to rant about blah XD

People have so much to share :)

That’s just it.

Part 1 of 3, prolly. :/

Grolar bear, anyone?

First day of camp was about global warming and vegetarianism mostly. They showed us this horrible video about pigs and chickens and animals getting killed. Yeuch.

Anywhoo, my social mingling prowess was really tried today — and you all know how cynical I can be. And sometimes, I don’t exactly believe in what I tell them. But not believing it to be so would be too depressing, yes?

Anyway, amazing races are excellent for bonding moments — definitely. I think I was too slow but hey, 3rd place is not bad!

Oooh. And I definitely met a lot of hottie friends. By hottie, I mean totally friendly. Totally. I haven’t even had long talks with these people and I don’t think they really know me but they’re just soooo nice!  I think it’s the Tzu Chi culture. ;D

Day one can be summarized as awkward and a bit cordial — like you don’t know how to act around these people but well, I gave them the hyper Tiffy side. I hope it worked. Oh wait. Yeah, I gave a bit of the witchy Tiffy side too. But not so much, I hope.

Did I mention they cornered us into making vows of being a vegetarian? They gave us these papers and led us to this huge board thing? Where the headings “1 day,” “1 week,” … “eternally,” were written. And since I was trying to set a good example, I sort of pledged to be vegetarian for a week.

Anyone there know anything about being a vegetarian? D:

EDIT: I was looking for food cause I was so hungry. Dad brought home meat and eggs. And I can’t eat both. Apparently, milk is also not allowed so I ate a cookie instead. And then I realized halfway — cookies have milk.

I’m gonna be a lacto vegeratian (so that my milk slip-up can be excused!)
