And now… Me too! :c
What do you think?
How much do you guys think this costs?

Having my vacation

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Just came back from Subic!
Between playing Bomberman Land Touch! 2 and errr, lying around the bed, it was fun.
The only moment my ass wasn’t on the bed was:
when we went out to drink a little and when we went to Zoobic Safari.

And even then, I thought of going back to bed!
Imagine — awake at 7?
Pure evil!

I believe he thought so too.
He was cranky too — he didn’t want people touching his horns.

Oh well at least the tigers got to be fed.

Well, and the little flock of sheep too!

Oh. And even though this poor little tiger was chained to the floor, I still didn’t dare go near him! (or maybe her)

Ta ta :)

I hate forwarded emails

I’m happy

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

I am. Really very truly happy.

I mean. I’ve come to accept that maybe some people don’t like that I feel like I’m all that but at some point, all of us should think that. Hello? Have you thought about it? If you felt that you’re not a teensy bit special, how can you live among millions like you?

Anywhoo, I’m just babbling.

Had two important meetings today :)

One for the Psych department’s core group, the Psychedelics.
I’m keeping my position as batch rep.
And with two responsible department reps, I think this year might kick ass.
Now if only they give us priority during enlistment!
After all, we’re going to help out during registration :(

Second meeting was for UP CSA — Bong and I are part of the executive committee (did I get that right?)
He’s the president (if you guys don’t know)
I’m heading a committee. :3
And the exciting part is that — we have TONS of activities planned for next year! <3
And they’re not at ALL boring :D

Oh guys! Forgot to advertise our new blog for some of those who like food :D

So, have you heard? Hello Kitty gets high fashion makeover

Monday, April 21st, 2008
TOKYO (Reuters) - She may be cute, but the latest top model to make her debut in Vogue is also podgy with short legs and whiskers.

Hello Kitty, a popular cat character in Japan, is set for a designer makeover in the June issue of Japanese Vogue, which goes on sale on April 26.

The fashion spread will show Kitty modeling the latest autumn and winter designs by John Galliano for the Dior brand, posing with the designer and enjoying a shopping spree in Paris.

“Of course this is the first time the historic fashion house of Dior has had a cartoon character model their entire collection,” said an official at Conde Nast Japan, publishers of Vogue Nippon www.vogue.co.jp/issues/

But the famous feline already has a following among the fashion crowd, she added.

“Japanese animation and characters have been a strong influence on the fashion world in the last few seasons, but Kitty is special,” the official said. “Fashion people all know her name and face and always say they love her. That’s why we at Vogue wanted to do something involving her.”

Ocean Park Manila

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Guidelines that you must follow when you visit Ocean Park Manila on a Sunday morning (or keep in mind anyway):

1. Wear closed shoes. If it’s steel-toed, all the better! And if you had it spiked, fantastic! Why? So that those who step on your toes will be the ones experiencing the pain.

2. Don’t bother saying excuse me. People might appreciate it but they’ll still keep on shoving and pushing. And suddenly you realize that you’re the only one who knows how to say the phrase.

3. Forget about personal space. Throw it with the sharks.

4. If a kid pushes you forcefully so that he can get to the display, say excuse me with an agitated voice and I guarantee you, his mother will scold him.

5. Even though flash photography isn’t allowed, people will still intentionally use it. They will look around and avoid those people who carry around the “Flash photography is prohibited” sign. My thoughts on the matter? It isn’t Ocean Park’s fault that the fishes keep on swimming around and that you can’t take a pic of it with such slow shutter speed. Better yet, it’s not Ocean Park’s fault that you can’t afford to buy a better camera D: Poor fishes.

He saw you flashing your camera, dude, and he’s staring at you!
Be afraid.
Be very afraid.

Photos taken using my Nokia N82. Without flash.

Except maybe this one. Grabbed from my sister’s phone :o)

6. Stick with the tour guide so that you won’t have to read the info material for each fish. She knows all the fishes and she’ll give you little tidbits of trivia here and there. Never mind her horrific grammar and you’re all set! (Give her a tip afterwards cause she’s gonna be around those pushing people for an entire day after all! Poor girl :c)

P.S. The tour guide suggested not visiting on a weekend :3 But well, it’s the time my dad is around so… ;o)

Tonight I can write the cheesiest lines

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Who doesn’t like Pablo Neruda?!

(You can opt not to look at the visuals! Just listen to the swoon worthy sounds!)

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write for example, ‘The night is shattered
and the blue stars shiver in the distance.’

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to a pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is shattered and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight searches for her as though to go to her.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, that’s certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

Another’s. She will be another’s. Like my kisses before.
Her voice. Her bright body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, that’s certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is short, forgetting is so long.

Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

Burying myself in work

Friday, April 18th, 2008

The top three things I found out by talking with Japanese people:

1. The top four beer brands are Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo and Suntory.
2. Japanese guys don’t give girls flowers — it’s highly uncommon. They usually give jewelry (Ooooh!)
3. They people I usually talk with have traveled to A LOT of countries :/

Yeah well. At least the hours are flexible (I mean I get to decide when I want to work and they just ask me sometimes to substitute if I have time).

Camp Rocks

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

That so totally rocks.

You know, it’s sort of a mix between HSM and the Hilary Duff movie, Raise your Voice!

Don’t you agree?

School… what’s the opposite of blue?

picture-2.png

I was really stressing about my grades yesterday. I needed a 1.25 in my Kom1 grade to be a US (university scholar; sort of like an honor student). So I blogged in my multiply hoping against hope that my prof will see it. Hee. Evul me I know. Desperate too!

Now the grades came out at around 2 in the morning–I was so happy! :)

I’m still Cum Laude standing. I need .03 more to be Magna Cum Laude standing. THIS close ._. Magna standing is 1.45 and above. Eep.

I need to study harder next semester.

This is the reason why I was gone for a week last time. Sometimes, I feel guilty that I can’t have more passion for some dedicated studying.

Have you had this problem before?
