The Best Nights of My Life

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Mindy tagged me yesterday :)

Rule: Name five of the Best Nights of your Life and then tag four people.

1. Lantern Parade (15 Dec 06) - I was with my UP friends, both UPCSA ones and the Tickandiemby group of friends from Psych! :) There was a lot of picture taking and a lot of laughter. It’s a nice feeling when you’re around all these new friends and you think of the endless possibilities for the next year.

2.Sleep-overs before the start of high school
- Mindy mentioned college sleep-overs and I’ll mention before high school ones XD I have yet to make college sleep-over memories. Charmagne was going to transfer to Pisay and both Lyns and I were going to be stuck at Saint Jude. We made good use of that summer, I remember. And you can always here us singing this song:

3. Sleep Time - Usually, before bed, the whole family (which consists of four members, reall) sit around poking fun at each other. My dad’s specially funny :P I love that old guy! Heh.

Example (we were in the car, preparing to leave):
Sister: Pa! So meng! (Pa! Lock the doors!)
Me: (Blabbering about something else)
Dad: (Concentrated on the road)
Sister: (Reaches over and locks the door)
Dad: Di so meng ba? (Did you lock the door?)
Sister: Ho (Yes)
Dad: Ke po! (Pakialamera! I forgot how you say it in English :| Wah. Nosy? XD)

Or…
Dad: If tomorrow is tomorrow, is today, onemorrow?
If you noticed, my dad can’t speak English XD He can converse a bit in Filipino XD

4. Late Nights with Cousins - Remember the four of us in the previous blog entry? Well, whenever they visit us here in the Philippines, there’s one night reserved for chatting and doing useless stuff :P And then we attempt not to sleep :P We end up sleeping at around 5 or 6 in the morning.

Funny, one time we did that, a crab escaped from the kitchen (he was going to be dinner the next day) and crawled near the door of the CR. Richelle was brushing her teeth that time and upon seeing the crab, screamed so loud the whole house woke up XD And then she even started crying :D Fun memories!

5. Christmas Eve - What’s not to like about it?! :D GIFTS! GIFTS! MORE GIFTS! Though by this time, all my gifts are already opened :( I have low EQ, my mom tells me every time. So what do I do? Mom, can I open this for you? :( (I’m supposedly good at making the puppy dog eyes :D)

I tag Luty, Bong, Mommyness, iheartbadtz

I blame the pseudo dad

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Yesterday, I wasn’t so sure if classes would be suspended. Yeah, yeah, I already heard the news but then last week Wednesday, when it was raining so hard and the roads we passed were flooded, they said that it was the teacher’s prerogative to cancel classes. O_O So maybe my classes weren’t suspended. And the pseudo dad had classes so I thought that daughter (meaning me) has class too.

And even though I met a handful of Atenean friends who told me that classes were suspended, I still planned on going on ahead. I had a postlab to submit too, so it wasn’t entirely a wasted trip.

Yeah, yeah. Classes were suspended.

And Harrell offered to drive me home. See? I didn’t force him to O_O I actually said that I was going to ride the LRT.

And it was a not so happily ever after story because I should’ve just gone home when I encountered said Atenean friends. But at least I got a free ride home :P

I’m Lucky

IMGP3259This is what I was doing last night (or, I guess, what I should be doing) — studying. And trust me, there was a lot of procrastinating that went on. Oh well, woe is me.

At 12 AM, I told my reviewers: Screw you, I’m going to bed. Well, I didn’t really say that cause that’s bad and us kids shouldn’t really say bad things (this is the Sanriotown place after all!). But I wanted to tell my notes that : (

I didn’t study for my Eng11 exam — good thing, too. Cause we were given the poem “My Papa’s Waltz” to analyze and that’s that.

Had a three hour break and semi-studied for my Physics exam in the afternoon. Was still studying at my 1-2:30 class and then at around 2:10, I’m all, “I’m gonna fail, oh well.

When I got to my classroom, no prof! He has left for America (or some other country) for a while to present a paper or something like that, I forgot what. Yay! Well, yay for me. Not so yay for my seat-mate who uttered under his breath, “I was done studying for it!”

The cousins are here from Taiwan! : ) Yeaaaah!

Aren’t we so adorable? :P

Oh by the way. Had a really unlucky day — I broke two of my ballpens (don’t ask me how) and then lost my wallet within the span of a day. Went all psycho on orgmates. Good thing Madie and Picoy were sane and they checked our Psych classroom for my wallet XDDD Thanks, guys. Yay. I have money again!

Up for traveling

Photo from lakbaypilipinas.com

I’m reposting this from my blogspot blog since blogspot doesn’t have trackback :)

I was visiting one of the blogs I frequent, justwandering.org, when I stumble upon her latest entry. Turns out that Philippines Travel Blog is giving away free signed copies of Jessica Zafra?s Twisted Travels.

Peyups.com paints a very… colorful persona behind the name Jessica Zafra.

Plus, I found a review online by none other than… Dean Alfar! :) I love him! I plan on buying his newest book, Salamanca. Anne has beat me to it! XD Seems as if I’m too busy pirating other stuff that I don’t check out the bookstores anymore :P Though of course. When it’s Pinoy, it’s taboo for me to try and pirate that, haha.

Now back Twisted Travels, I seem to love segues. So to get a free copy, simply comment on the entry, blog about it, stumble it or send in your own travel tales. If you do two of the following, you get the book :D

I love books!

Sore Eyes

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

IMGP3250 I’ve got sore eyes! At first I thought that I just got it from sleeping with my contacts on. :(

And now I can’t wear my contacts for a week. I’m going to be using my glasses. One good thing would be the fact that the glasses hides the swelling. Thank goodness for that. But if you click the picture, you see the redness in the eyes. :(

So kids, remember that sore eyes are on the roll nowadays. Don’t rub your eyes especially if you’re not sure about the cleanliness of the surfaces that you touch.

Always wash your hands (mine is becoming quite dry since I keep on washing my hands. I’m afraid I’m going to contaminate the stuff around me).

I’ve already infected my sister x_x

More Kitty

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

My sister has been quick to point out this articlewherein police officers who break rules will be forced to wear pink armbands with the Kitty’s face in it :)

The article said, and I quote:

“(Hello) Kitty is a cute icon for young girls. It’s not something macho police officers want covering their biceps.”

Hey! I beg to disagree! Hello Kitty is a macho icon :P Well, sort of. She’s the damsel in distress. And Dear Daniel is the prince charming!

Exams exams and more exams! Tralalala.

Finally, a Nicole Richie Post

Saturday, August 4th, 2007

nicole richie 060607 I’ve been meaning to make one :P Since Bong and Tingal seems to have their own.

I was checking my feeds and found an article that hmm… educated me. :)

According to contactmusic.com,

Super-skinny socialite NICOLE RICHIE has no fears about gaining weight now she’s pregnant with her first child, insisting she’ll happily balloon 50 pounds if that’s what her baby needs. Richie, who is four months pregnant with boyfriend Joel Madden’s child, insists her wild partying, drug-taking days are behind her and now all she wants to be is a good mum. And, with that, she has no concerns about her changing image. Richie claims to have gained 10 pounds already and says, “To me, numbers don’t mean anything. If I gain 40 pounds, if I gain 50 pounds, then that’s obviously what my body needs to do. I’m totally OK with that.”

Awww! Aren’t we so proud of our girl! :) She’s a mommy now! I hope she does well!

I want a typical love story

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

All I do now (aside from studying and slacking off) is watching youtube clips online :P

Funny how I suddenly do stuff that I stopped doing about a year ago. Playing the rubik’s cube (1 min 4 sec, baybeh. Thanks so much, Bryan for being a good mentor!), playing chess (sorry Austin, a Xavierian’s arrogance is no match for the Tiffy) and playing checkers :P Well now I finally learn how to play Dama and Chinese Checkers. Yay is me.

Funny: We threw away the organic layer that we needed for the experiment. Turns out the white bubbly stuff was the limonene.

My humor is getting twisted.
Help.
