I have realised you can find HK almost anywhere, even at the local newsagent!  I was picking up some magazines and saw these on the counter;

Crazy Beans

I’ll admit, I’m not too fond of jelly beans, but these ones are nice, kind of fruit flavoured, and the sticker is sooo cute too! Also the price was great, $1.25!

Yet another reason why I believe Kitty will one day be ruler of Earth, she is taking over,  one store at a time…

All hail our future leader!

Well, its Valentine’s Day, which means it’s also my fiance’s birthday.  And yet again when I asked “What would you like this year?” the answer was “I don’t know…”  So I suggested an alarm clock with an iPod dock, which seemed to be rather well received, until mentioned how much I like this one in particular;

Clock Radio

What a practical little item!  It will play either the radio or your iPod as the alarm, has a 5 minute snooze button (which I know I will use EVERY day… zzz…), it charges and plays your iPod mini or nano and also has a video out jack so you can display your pictures from your iPod on an external TV set.  Also, for those people who don’t yet have an iPod of some sort (I mean all 6 of you), there is an auxilary in to connect your other brand MP3 player or CD walkman etc.

And guess where I found it?  Yup, my favourite store, Target.  At a cost of just under $50, it’s something I just can’t go past!  So, in about 3 hours when the boy finishes work, I will be dragging him to my local store and making sure it will fit my 5th Gen 80GB iPod Video before I beg and plead him like a little kid to buy it for me.

UPDATE:

Well I got it!  For those wondering, it fits all iPod models, it has all different size dock attachments to fit the smallest to the biggest, and the sound quality out of the speakers is just fantastic, clearer than other like products in the same price range.  The only drawback is the blue LED light is rather bright, but I have taped some silver cellophane over it, makes it less intense and doesn’t ruin the look of it.  So happy!

Yesterday I was pleased to receive my very first email from a fellow HK fan, with a wonderful piece of information.  Kerry let me know about a fantastic HK appliance which now has top spot on my wish list, yes, even above the fabulous toaster.  So after a lengthy search, here it is in all its glory, the HK Sandwich Press;

Sandwich Press

Possibly the cutest appliance ever!  I’m going to have to do some serious hunting for this one, unfortunately many HK items are not available in Australia, and can not be ordered or end up being WAY too expensive to ship them over here.  Must go on holidays soon…

 Big huge special thank you’s and HK huggles to Kerry for the tip!

Yet another great find at Target.  Went in there looking for another cookie to taste test, and just happened to find this;

Big Classic Plush

She is about 45cm tall and is very solidly filled and soooo soft.  At a cost of $25 I couldn’t pass her up!

Also found this little cutie;

Fairy Plush

This one is about 20cm tall and is one of 4 styles that were there.  The other 3 were the classic HK, Roller HK, and a cute little HK with an afro!  Only $13 for these ones, kinda wishing I’d bought all 4 now.

During my countless hours on eBay, I tend to find some really great things, just like this one.  Introducing the HK Food Stamp;

Food Stamp

 From the looks of it, you can stamp almost any type of food and make it fit for a HK fan!  Maybe the idea of a HK diet isn’t such a silly idea now with this litte thing.  Just a matter of working out what to use as the ’stamp ink’.  Dark chocolate comes to mind…

I love Thursday night shopping.  A great find at Big W;

Roller Rescue pack

Brand new sealed copy of HK Roller Rescue and a pink mini controller.  The controller is 75% of the size of a standard PS2 controller, perfect for kids or people like me with little hands.  And yes, that is the right price, $20!!!

Have only played up to level 5 so far, but it’s such a cute game.  Levels are rather quick, and really easy.  I gather is wasn’t aimed at the 20-something year old fans like myself, but the cute factor is definitely worth a look.

Plus there were some gorgeous stickers inside the game case;

Roller Rescue stickers

This is definitely one on my wish list, the HK toaster;

 Toaster

I’ve seen it at Target, but not sure how long ago that was, coz every time I look for it now, I can’t find it.  I’ve tried 4 different Target stores an no luck.  Apparently it’s around $50, or so a friend tells me.

Also found this Sanyo version on Amazon.com;

Sanyo Toaster

And this more expensive version;

Pop Up Toaster

 The thing I like best is the HK silhouette on the toast.  If only I could make that happen to all my food.

The Hello Kitty diet… LOL!

A cute little find at my local Target store;

Candy Bracelets and Necklace

Surprisingly they actually taste really nice.  Not at all like the candy necklaces I remember from childhood.  Had to buy 2 lots when I saw them.  Much to my fiance’s distain, they are sitting proudly on my mantlepiece at the moment, along with my marshmallow pop and cookie;

Marshmallow Pop  Cookie

Marshmallow pops are not bad, but not fantastic, just ok.  Cookie is just soooo cute, only one I could find so no taste test for the moment.  Wanna hold on to it for a little while :-)

If you haven’t already guessed, I’m Allie.  I’m 22 and live in Australia.  I’ve never left this country, simply because I don’t think I need to yet.  We have the most beautiful country in the world with our pure white beaches, dense bushland and unique culture I don’t see a reason why I need to travel overseas, yet.

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to experience the culture of foreign countries, namely Indonesia, China, Japan, France, Italy, Germany and of course the USA, but I am still young and have many years in which I will be able to see these places, but for now, I’m happy in this sun-blessed country.

My Hello Kitty obsession has just begun, and here’s how it happened…

I was searching on ebay a few weeks ago for a new phone.  I knew I wanted a touchscreen phone with a decent organiser, coz I use the organiser on my Nokia heaps.  After nearly a week of searching I came across a gorgeous little pink phone, the Hello Kitty 318.  There’s a video review available here.

 HK 318 Phone   HK 318

It was perfect, everything from the pink cover to the cute little HK themed menus, even the tiny stylus that slots into the side.  When it arrived at my house a week later, I was even more amazed with it then.  It even came with a gorgeous HK pouch and lanyard and even a spare battery.  And so the Hello Kitty obsession began.

It’s only 2 weeks later and I am already in the habit of searching every shop
I go to for more HK.  So far I’ve only found a few little things, marshmallow pops, stickers, candy necklace and bracelets, stationery and a gorgeous purse (pictures of all will be uploaded later), most of which I have been able to buy on the spot, but I’m moving house in 2 weeks so I haven’t been able to buy as much as I wanted.

So anyway, I’ll be posting pics of stuff I’ve bought, and stuff I really really want.  I’ve got some crystal stickers coming from Hong Kong, so when they get here I’ll be decorating my laptop with HK love too.  Will post photos as soon as it happens!

If you own or have found a really cute/cool/weird HK item, please email me the photos or a weblink at alliana@hellokitty.com and I’ll put it up here if I love it, which is highly likely!
