Under the beautiful autumn sky, polar bears (there’s another one) kept visitors’ attention.  I love this zoo, and the whole Ueno district, combining old and new things, changing yet unchanging. 

Out of six Hard Rock Cafes in Japan, this is outstanding, for being located inside a station. Ueno anyway, is a vibrant city, with so many travellers, in and out every second. URL: Hard Rock Cafe with Hello Kitty, offering special Hello Kitty T-shirts, pins, keychains.

Far from sophistication, or nobility, but I love this city. I used to buy snacks, cosmetics, and lots of silly things (not fishes and seaweeds! ), when I was a student (I appreciate you’re kind enough not to ask how many years ago). Now I’m glad Ameyoko stays just the way it was. By the way, the Japanese letters on the three circles, on the right, are read A, ME, YOKO, the name of this market place.
