I put down the book I was reading with such passion, especially the phrase `a simple change of scenery can bring about powerful shifts in the flow of time and emotions’ (it’s from Murakami’s `South of the border, west of the sun’, one of my very favorite) and kept staring at the clear white, beautiful view from the Shinkansen Bullet Train window. Would this sight, the peaceful quiet rice field seems everlasting, be the one? And I also want to ask, do you ever really believe it’s only 10% of the land which are used for agriculture? Everytime I’m on the bullet train, or even an express train or a normal one, I doubt it.

Excited ? Of course I am ! So white, and unpolluted.
