I got the package from Thailand today. So much cool stuff inside! I liked everything, but my favourite is probably this:

Joris really liked his shirts but, unfortunately, they were about one size too small. He really likes that style of shirt though.

It’s always fun to open packages. So, thank you!

And thanks Kit for the super-cute photos of my nephew.

:)

It’s about time I posted a few more pictures for you guys.

Me standing next to our Christmas tree:

Rugged up against the cold:

At home with the flu, trying to keep warm & looking silly:

And, finally, extreme close-up of Grover:

That’s all I have for now. Yes, the camera cable is still missing.

It’s a boy! I have a nephew now.

Born 16th of December. Another Sagittarius, oh dear… :P

Today I went out with my friend Lea & did a little bit of Christmas shopping. I finally bought a Christmas tree. I only bought a small one, because all the rest were too heavy to carry. It’s only 90cm tall, and it’s black.

Joris & I decorated it tonight. It’s covered in baubles in red, pink & gold, and some of them are shaped like strawberries. There is a gold glittering spike on top, with a Hello Kitty ornament hanging off of it.

I tried to take pictures, but  they didn’t really work. Here they are anyway:

I’ll try to get better pictures tomorrow.

Hey, it’s been a little while since I wrote in here (apart from Kit’s birthday).

No silly photos today. I haven’t been able to post any of my pics from London yet because I still can’t find the usb cable for my camera. I can, however, post this picture:

 That’s right, I’m going to make a post about pyjamas.  Hello Kitty pyjamas. Why? Because they are awesome. The only winter pyjamas I had have been long lost, presumed to have been abducted from the laundry basket by aliens and taken to one of the moons of the missing sock planet. So, I finally got some new ones when we went out shopping on the weekend to replace a few things. They are made of nice cotton and are so soft and comfy and warm.

Now I just need to replace my warm slippers that the cat puked on. Again.

Happy Birthday Kit!

I’m not there to celebrate with you, but here’s a little virtual birthday:

Here are the delicious vietnamese noodles;

(or dim sum, if you prefer)

here is the cake;

and here is your present;

and now I invade your couch & demand cheesecake & entertainment.

I hope you had a good Birthday sis! Love you!

I’m going next Tuesday, in fact. Joris is being sent there for work, and for some reason, they are sending me with him. I’ll be there for 3 days, 2 nights. It’s very short notice, and not a lot of time. I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to do over there. I guess I’ll just try to cram in as much sight-seeing as I can.  Whatever I end up doing, I’m sure I’ll have fun. I will probably also end up getting very, very lost at least once.

I hope I can find the cable for the camera before we go. I want to take lots of pictures.

On Wednesday, we went to see Bloc Party. I am even more in love with the band now than I was before. They are so good live! Absolutely brilliant. They played a few b-sides, and an encore ( a real one, yay!). There was even a song dedicated to all the dancing boys and girls on the balconies for making Kele smile all night. Guess who had been dancing like an idiot on the balcony the entire show?

Kele is one of the best frontmen I have ever seen. His on stage banter made it feel like you were just hanging out with a very large group of mates instead of crowding into a smoky venue to watch strangers play music. He was very endearing too, falling on his bum mid-song, getting lost in the crowd, and taking a bow with his bandmates at the end of the set. I like that sort of thing so much better than swaggering ‘rockstars’.

I can’t wait for their next album to finally come out!

Joris took a couple of days off after the concert. It was a bit too wet & windy to go out and do anything fun, so we had a lazy couple of days at home. We turned the heater up, had some tea & hot chocolate, played games and watched movies. One of the movies we watched was Stranger than Fiction. It has Will Ferrell and Emma Thompson in it, and It’s really cute. You should watch it.

Lastly, check out what Joris is getting me for christmas:

I have been drooling over these for a long time. They are so cute, and mildly ridiculous. I never thought I’d actually be able to get my hands on a pair though. When I found out they were being sold again, I just assumed I’d have to miss out, but then Joris decided to make them my christmas present.  Such a cool surprise! I am really spoiled beyond belief sometimes.

Yes, I already have 3 pairs of earmuffs, but how awesome are these? Besides, I usually start wearing earmuffs in autumn already, so having another pair won’t hurt. My ears are always freezing as soon as the days start to get cool and overcast. Hands and such too. Sometimes I think I have poor circulation. Now, if only there was such a thing as nosewarmers…

 Can you tell I miss the purikura booths back in Oz?

Well, I’m up in the middle of the night. Or morning. Technically it’s already Hallowe’en. I have a long day tomorrow too. I have to get out of bed for school in just 4 hours. After school, I’m going to an open night & interview thingy for my new job. I’m not entirely sure I understand these strange new hiring practices. I probably won’t be home ’til late. I am going to be so tired. Ah, the joys of insomnia…

I think I shall make a slight effort to dress up tomorrow. I already have the bandages & will no doubt have dark circles under my eyes.  Maybe I’ll be a zombie. It would be very apt.

When I do get home tonight, I’m going to spend the night watching lots of horror movies.

They’re coming to get you Barbara!
