First of all, you’ll need the pattern I used for Laurence Fishburne. Click the image above to view the download/print-ready version of the pattern!

And now, click the link to the rest of the entry for materials and the complete procedure, with pics~ :]

1. Board (I used 220 GSM board)
2. Printer
3. Scissors (Hope they’re sharp!), or a cutter (But be careful!)
4. Glue
5. 2 rulers, (credit) cards, or anything hard, flat and straight. It’ll make sense later.
6. Patience (Yup)

Procedure:

Before we go to the step-by-step, I’ve made collage of pictures showing the procedure as I did it. I hope you guys find it useful, personally I think it works better on its own than my words describing what I did. Click the image below to see it.

Step zero. Print the pattern out on your board. Note: Technically you can use ordinary paper, but it won’t be the same. 220 GSM, I recommend it!

Okay on to the actual steps, provided you have the pattern. Follow the numbering on the image as you go through these steps:

1. Cut along the outlines in the pattern to ready your actual BoxPig parts.
2. Cut out even the small parts, and you should end up with something like this [frame 2].
3. Folding time. Flip your board over. Take your rulers or cards, position them so one is over the part that you are holding down, and the other one is under the part you want to fold in. (Note: We want to fold along all the parts with outlines in the pattern)
4. Move the bottom card up as you fold. (Why do this? This is to make sure you make one sure, clean fold)
5. Fold the smaller piece as well.
6. Try making a cube out of it so you get an idea how it looks. Now, take your glue and put some on the 4 “extra flaps” on the pattern, or one at a time if you wish.
7. Stick them to the white (back) part of the face side and back side [frame 7].
8. Do those for all sides and you should end up with a box — one side open. Note in [frame 8] that the flaps should be inside.
9. Stick the tusks (look like mustaches hahaha).
10. Then stick the nose. You have your face!
11. Now stick the underside in through the 4 extra flaps there, also all on the inside of the box. It’s a little tricky…
12. Make sure to stick that in a way that you leave some space for the “frills” [frame 12].
13. Carefully push the bottom part in, and squeeze the sides in to get that firmly into place.
14. Finally, for the legs. This is the tricky part, and you’ll need to examine [frame 14a] and [14b] to see how to fold them. Note the alignment on [14a] and the shape in [14b]. Gray side out! (Actually you can make a simpler version, but this makes him a bit more stable)
15. Stick them to the underside of your BoxPig, as seen in the pic [frame 15].
16. [Edit: Forgot this part yesterday, adding it in now!] Ears! This isn’t in the image but it’s really simple. Fold the ears near the base and stick them to the top of his head! You can see how they’re stuck in the last pic~ [/Edit]

And voila! You’re done! I hope that wasn’t too complicated! I know it seems a bit rushed, so if ever something’s unclear with anything I posted here, just let me know! Comments? Suggestions? All welcome!
